Our employees have stop-work authorities that if it is not safe do not do it, and they are actively encouraged to use this authority. Although each person’s actions will ultimately determine his or her own individual safety, there is a clear duty for all those charged with supervision and management to establish and implement safety priorities and procedures. Supervisors and Managers must also administer the company’s responsibility to ensure a safe workplace with safe equipment. Dawsons Environmental StrategyOur aim is to achieve a high standard of care for the natural environment in all of the activities in which we engage. We will: Conduct our operations in compliance with all-relevant environmental regulations, licenses and legislation. Uphold the spirit of the law and, where laws do not adequately protect the environment, apply standards that minimise any adverse environmental impacts resulting from its operations, products and services. Identify, monitor and manage environmental risks, conduct research and establish programs to conserve resources, minimise wastes, improve processes and protect the environment. Seek continuous improvement in the environment, ensure our management system controls and monitors environmental risks arising from its operations. Provide appropriate training and awareness for all employees on environment issues. Communicate regularly with employees about our aim and about individual responsibilities. Inform our customers and suppliers of our aim and of their responsibilities in relation to our business. |
