Robyn Van Rooye

In her early working life, Robyn developed a passion for training and has spent the last 12 years of her career promoting skills training that satisfied the needs of industry.

As Regional Manager promoting New Apprenticeships in North Queensland, (Townsville, Mt Isa, Cairns, Weipa & Thursday Island), Robyn oversaw a significant growth in the number of apprenticeships/traineeships undertaken in the region.

She furthered her promotion of training as the Business Development Manager & Employment Manager at Cairns Regional Group Training (Skills 360).

In her previous role as Planning Officer with Cairns Regional Council, she honed her own training skills and developed an appreciation of the need for planning for skills, training and development as part of an organisation’s growth strategy and compliance with legislative requirements.

Dawsons welcomed Robyn early 2010 in the capacity of Training Manager, recognising strength in Robyn’s ability to pass on her learning and training experiences, inspiring people of all ages to make the most of training and career opportunities as she has done.
