Dawsons provided Supervisors, Trades and Pipe welders to complete a rebuild of a boiler in the Acid Plant after a malfunction. Our supervisors mobilised to assess the works and develop a repair schedule that was agreed on. The project was completed safely, on time and budget with good quality. Once complete the plant was brought back online with good output.
Supply of 85T of grade A283C plate, fabrication of 2 x dome roofs and rolled strake sections. Site works included removal of the existing dome roofs and top strakes. Repairs to the existing shell, installation of the new top strakes, internal stiffeners and dome roofs.

Installation of new 20KL FRP sodium hypochlorite storage tanks, a new chemical dosing panel and dual-wall piping. The scope also covered electrical works, SCADA integration, building modifications, access platforms, civil works, chemical-resistant coatings and safety shower installation.

Replacement of a CN2600 Butterfly Valve and 2 DN1200 Main Inlet Valves. Works involved the removal of the existing 50 year old valves, installation of new valves, pipework modifications, hydraulic works, electrical works and new access platforms.
