Our highly experienced team of carpenters, plumbers, concreters, electricians, and refrigeration mechanics can provide a complete commercial, industrial, and residential maintenance and construction service.
We are highly experienced in design and construction, construction management, lump sum contracts, building maintenance, earthworks and civil works, and working in remote and environmentally sensitive locations.
Removal of asbestos must be carried out by licensed operators in accordance with the National Occupational Health & Safety Commission's Code of Practice for the Safe Removal of Asbestos.
Dawsons has been licensed by the Queensland Division of Workplace Health and Safety to carry out asbestos removal and demolition since 2000, and is highly experienced in the removal of friable asbestos-containing material and bonded asbestos.
This project was to upgrade the existing lower river walking track which follows the river and provides multiple viewing locations. This walking track followed the existing alignment with the project scope including construction of three new pedestrian bridges, three viewing platforms, and the renewal of the walking track. The walking track renewal consisted of stone edging the walking track with decomposed granite rocks and sealing with Ezi-Street asphalt. Works were completed in a very environmentally sensitive area of the World Heritage Wet Tropics with no incidents.

A carpenter by trade, Wes is most at home on remote sites where his ability to operate any machine from a helicopter to a dozer makes him the most versatile worker we have. Wes is a problem solver and enjoys the challenge of delivering projects in remote and environmentally sensitive locations.
Lex is a member of the 20+ year club at Dawsons. A Cairns local and boilermaker by trade, Lex has extensive experience in Mining, Sugar and Marine industries, spending many years on projects around North Queensland during the work hard, play harder era. Lex now heads up our Asbestos and Demolition Division, where his meticulous planning and attention to detail ensures that we are operating within our statutory requirements and providing the safest and most reliable service to our clients.
