Supply of 85T of grade A283C plate, fabrication of 2 x dome roofs and rolled strake sections. Site works included removal of the existing dome roofs and top strakes. Repairs to the existing shell, installation of the new top strakes, internal stiffeners and dome roofs.

Design and construct cantilevered boardwalk structure in Barron Gorge National Park.

This project was to upgrade the existing lower river walking track which follows the river and provides multiple viewing locations. This walking track followed the existing alignment with the project scope including construction of three new pedestrian bridges, three viewing platforms, and the renewal of the walking track. The walking track renewal consisted of stone edging the walking track with decomposed granite rocks and sealing with Ezi-Street asphalt. Works were completed in a very environmentally sensitive area of the World Heritage Wet Tropics with no incidents.

The 3m diameter ducting ran was fabricated to replace ducting that runs between Lead Smelter Sinter Plant and the Stack Extraction Fan approximately 80m in length. We carried out the fabrication, trial assembly and delivery to the site and later carried out the installation.

Dawsons provided Supervisors, Trades and Pipe welders to complete a rebuild of a boiler in the Acid Plant after a malfunction. Our supervisors mobilised to assess the works and develop a repair schedule that was agreed on. The project was completed safely, on time and budget with good quality. Once complete the plant was brought back online with good output.
